An idealist first-generation German social worker joins an Ausländeramt in Germany as a next-generation Beamtin, believing she's part of a transformative wave that will make these offices more inclusive and empathetic. However, she quickly finds herself entangled in a web of conflicting interests, and realizes change might be harder than she anticipated.
